How the job went

Problem

The engine had oil leaks, and the suspension had a worn wheel bearing, control arm bushes and springs.

What we did

We serviced the car with Liqui Moly oil and Mahle filters and replaced the gaskets (Elring), the bearing (SKF), the bushes (Lemförder), the springs (Sachs) and a coolant pipe. Then we set the alignment.

Result

The engine is sealed, the car drives straight and comfortably and is ready for long trips.

Job details

The Audi A7 combines power with a high level of comfort, but its 3.0 TDI (180kw) engine and complex suspension need regular, quality attention. GT Garage welcomed a 2011 model that received an extensive technical overhaul, from sealing the engine to restoring fully precise handling.

1. Engine service and seal renewal

To keep the engine running perfectly, we started with a full service and fixing the leaks:

  • Oil change: Top-class Liqui Moly 4200 5w30 engine oil was used.
  • Filter set: Mahle filters (air, cabin, fuel) were fitted for maximum protection.
  • Engine sealing: The valve cover gasket (left side) and the injector housing seals were replaced using Elring components. A new injector fitting kit was also installed to keep the system safe and clean.

2. Suspension and ride comfort

The Audi A7’s ride is legendary, and we restored it using parts from leading manufacturers:

  • Front axle: The left wheel hub bearing (SKF) and the lower rear control arm bushes on both sides (Lemforder) were replaced.
  • Rear axle: New suspension springs (Sachs) were fitted on both sides, restoring the car’s correct ride height and damping.
  • Toe/camber: After the suspension repair, a wheel alignment was carried out as standard to make sure the car tracks straight and the tyres wear evenly.

3. Cooling system safety

To avoid coolant leaks and the risk of the engine overheating, we replaced a cooling system pipe. Here we made no compromises and fitted a genuine VAG (OEM) part.

The result

After this repair, the Audi A7 is technically ready for long trips and everyday performance alike. Quality parts combined with GT Garage’s precision are the best guarantee of a long life for your car.

After suspension work we always do a wheel alignment. Otherwise the car pulls to one side and the tyres wear unevenly.
